I once had a friend jocularly jab at me, pretend-quoting me by saying, “My name’s Tom. I spend eight hours writing a program to do something that only takes me three minutes to do now.”
While there is truth to that, there’s also the other times. One of our vendors needed some quick descriptions of some modules for a web application we have them building, with the constraint of 125 character limit per module description.
It took under a minute to have the following up and running, because it would have taken longer to either A) come up with phrases in a Word document and run character counts, or B) find something exactly this simple with a Google search, when I have all the tools at my fingertips already.
